So very, very tired.
Last week was the craziness of exams here at work. Lots of stressed out students, which leads to no-shows at the library for work and insane amounts of returned books.
I then spent the weekend like so:
Saturday10am-3pm - Furniture shopping all up and down what we jokingly call Furniture Alley. It's a 3 or 4 mile stretch of about 2 dozen furniture stores.
Why? My MIL offered to buy us a new set of living room furniture. Considering ours is old and the cats have shredded the couch half to death, this is awesome.
3-9pm - Out at the barn riding and feeding all the critters, as the barn owner was out of town for the weekend. This includes the 3pm feeding for the Thoroughbreds, who need tons of food, and the 8pm feeding for everyone, plus some stall cleaning and I did manage a ride in there.
9:30-11:30pm - Online RPG gaming with friends. Lots of fun, though by that point I was a little too tired to concentrate, so it's good the GM was focusing on someone else's character for most of that.
SundayAM - Mother's day breakfast with my mom, dad and grandmother, plus the hubby and Roo. Lots of coffee involved here. :D
PM - More furniture shopping. We finally found a couch.
This one, but in slate gray where it's red in the picture. We also decided on a black, microfiber storage ottoman from a different store, instead of the one in the picture, and we found neat Japanese paper lantern style lamps and gray/black accented tile end tables that are narrow and rectangular, to bracket the couch. It'll look awesome. It's going to take up to 12 weeks to get the couch, though, since it's a special order with the color change.
TodayI spent all morning with little help at the circulation desk, standing and pulling expired holds (books patrons requested but never picked up), and checking in what feels like 80,000 books that the graduating seniors have been returning.
My poor feet are
killing me now. *grumbles*
In fandom news, though, I finally watched the finale of Fringe. Fringe!!! I love this show. I might also have 2 more drabble ideas now. :D Yay fic!! \o/
